Updating the License

If you wish to modify your license in order to add or remove modules, or change the level of a particular license, you will need to contact Inductive Automation. The modules will be adjusted for the CD Key, and you will then be able to re-activate the system using the same key. If your Ignition Gateway is connected to the internet you can merely click the "Update License" link that is found on the licensing page of the configuration section. For systems that do not have an internet connection you will have to go through the offline unactivation process followed by the offline activation process. Once your new license file is installed, the Ignition server will be updated with the desired module licenses.
