Client Login Properties

These properties affect how the Vision Client's login process behaves and appears.

Login Screen

These properties affect the appearance of the login screen. By default, the title area of the login screen will contain the project's title (or its name, if the title is blank), along with the project's description. You can override this by entering a welcome message for your project here. You may use HTML to format the message. You can also set an image to use instead of the Ignition logo on the login screen's header. You may also override the text used in the login controls.

Auto Login

By enabling auto-login, you can have the launched client skip the login process. The client will log in behind the scenes using the credentials supplied here. If they fail, the login screen will be presented.

AD SSO Login

Single sign on may be enabled in the Active Directory, AD Internal Hybrid, and the AD DB Hybrid user sources. To enable SSO for a user source, check the enable SSO check box in the configuration section of the user source on the web interface. You must also specify a SSO domain that will have to match the domain of the AD user. If no SSO domain is specified, the domain of the user must match the main AD domain of the user source. In order for SSO to occur, the client OS must be windows, the user must exist on the AD server specified, the user domain must match the SSO domain or main domain of the user source, and SSO must be enabled for the login properties of the project. Login properties are edited in the project properties dialog in the designer.
